2019 ‘Women Impacting ISU’ calendar includes CHS’s Tia Carter, Carmen Flagge, Connie Hargrave, Laura Bestler, Michelle Roling, Denise Williams-Klotz
November 26, 2018Honoring women whose leadership has made a difference at Iowa State, the 2019 ‘Women Impacting ISU’ calendar will feature 12 campus leaders, including six with College of Health and Human Sciences ties: Tia Carter, a senior in kinesiology and health; Connie Hargrave, an associate professor in the School of Education; Carmen Flagge, Director of Multicultural Student Success (DMSS) in the College of Health and Human Sciences; alumna Laura Bestler, program coordinator in the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching; alumna Michelle Roling, counselor and eating disorder services coordinator in Student Counseling Services; and alumna Denise Williams-Klotz, assistant director of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. Seventy women were nominated this year for spots on the calendar, which is publish annually by the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women in Politics. A reception recognizing all 12 honorees is set for Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Sun Room and South Ballroom of the Memorial Union; a half-hour program will begin at 4 p.m.
