Maria Alcivar-Zuniga receives 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Advancing One Community Award for an individual student

Iowa State University has honored Maria Alcivar-Zuniga with the 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Advancing One Community Award for an individual student. The award recogises Alciva-Zuniga, a graduate student in human development and family studies, for outstanding work to create an inclusive university community that embraces justice and equality. She is the only student who won the award for an individual this year.
