Responsibilities

We went through a week of training, had to take tests for Life and Health & Disability insurance licensing, and heard from speakers in the company. Daily activities include calling prospective clients, having meetings with prospective clients alongside a full-time financial adviser, tracking our activity, and getting introduced to more qualified suspects. We went to weekly coaching meetings with out College Unit Director, and weekly Intern Development Meetings.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was just the satisfaction of knowing that I was able to help people, including members of my family, on things that they may not have thought about like budgeting, life and disability insurance, and investing.

What advice would you give?

Be prepared to talk to people a lot. If doing that is something you enjoy, then this would be a great internship opportunity for you.
