Responsibilities

My responsibilities during my internship include, home visits - ensuring that mothers are following through with their goals as well as staying disciplined with healthy habits for themselves, their babies and family as a whole.

Accomplishments

Helping provide mothers in need with resources to help create a better lifestyle for themselves and family. I also have grown so much in my cultural competency by working with very diverse cultures.

What advice would you give?

Apply yourself. Make connections and reach out to individuals whose paths inspire you and align with your future goals. Have conversations with them, learn how you can be the best version of myself to serve the populations that you are passionate about. Self work is very important in this field, find your purpose and figure out how to navigate to it.
