Responsibilities

This is a construction company but my boss let it pertain towards my degree and let me do personal finance work in this field. On a day to day basis I would do anything from entering weekly expenses into an excel file, to meeting with clients one on one to help understand their budget a little better to start renovations on their home. Other days I would help create repayment options for clients, and also compare and contrast products and their prices.

Accomplishments

I would say my greatest accomplishment was being able to see the customer satisfaction factor up close and personal. I think there is nothing better than getting the client what they want done for their home and seeing the satisfaction personally.

What advice would you give?

Do research as to where you think you might want to do your internship and start applying early. I was lucky enough to do an internship for the company I was already working for. But, if you aren't able to do that, start looking earlier than you think, because sometimes it take awhile for companies to respond to you.
