Responsibilities

I shadow BHIS workers conducting individual and group sessions. I assist in planning activities and submitting notes. As the internship goes on, I take a larger role in the sessions.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from this experience has been hearing a child admit that he enjoys the services that he receives more than he acts like.

What advice would you give?

Prepare yourself to meet children that are in unimaginable circumstances. Know that when you think you've heard the worst there's a high chance that you haven't yet.
