Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment during my internship experience was creating a postcard to advertise a new ARNP at the practice.
Learning experience
One lesson that I learned from my experience is that starting therapy will be awkward, but the client will never know if you made a mistake during an intervention; it won't harm them. Another lesson that I learned is that boundaries are extremely important as a therapist. It is ok to tell a client that they cannot have an appointment outside of your designated openings because you need time to document or time to relax.
What advice would you give?
Take the time to get experience. During my internship, I was sitting in a session with an adolescent and I left that day, saying, "This is what I want to do." It will come to you eventually.
