Responsibilities

I did a variety of tasks while at this internship. My main job was to assist the Education Manager and Education Specialist. I helped with various programs and tours through out the semester. (directly assisting and also with the data.) I also designed and put up the monthly education bulletin board. I had the opportunity to attend programs, lectures, and meetings.

Accomplishments

I have had several accomplishments during the semester. I think one of my greatest accomplishments was getting to co-lead a program. It was nice getting to apply what I have learned in school. I learned a lot from observing and assisting with programs, and it felt good to be able to help get one put together and running with another intern.

What advice would you give?

My advice is to be open to new experiences. Take a chance and try something new. When deciding on an internship don't let others influence you, you should do what you want. Also, look at all of your options and don't be afraid to reach out and make connections. Overall, just be yourself and be prepared.
