Responsibilities

My responsibilities include planning activities, caring for a group of children, teaching bible studies, and cleaning around camp.

Accomplishments

I came out of my comfort zone and started taking more initiative. I also felt like I was good at getting the kids to listen and pay attention.

Learning experience

I learned a lot about the kids I was able to supervise. I learned a lot about being outdoors and how to deal with homesick kids. It’s a rewarding feeling to help a sad camper feel happy.

What advice would you give?

Don’t be scared and have fun with it. It can be intimidating being around many kids, but they are actually a lot of fun. If you get comfortable with the setting, you will feel more confident.
