Responsibilities

I do middle school tours on campus and host them for lunches and presentations. I also assist my supervisor on some outreach visits at middle schools in Iowa. I also do a lot of mail correspondence to kids and faculty from all over the country, who write Iowa State wanting information/freebies.

Accomplishments

Learning all of the material needed to give a proper and effective tour to the visitors on campus. There was a big packet of info to memorize and I think learning all of that and learning how to present it to groups of people whom I don't know, and comfortably, is a big accomplishment for me.

What advice would you give?

Search for your internship early. Get that in place so you don't have to be worrying about it up until the last moment!
