Responsibilities

· Engaged in one-on-one activities and group activities with the children. · Ensured children were following their treatment plans and assisted staff in redirecting them. · Motivated children to engage in safe behaviors and talk about their feelings with staff as needed. · Facilitated group therapy alongside other staff members.

Accomplishments

I feel my greatest accomplishment from my internship was the relationships I made with the kids I met. I'm very proud that I was able to make great connections in the short time I was at my internship.

What advice would you give?

My advice to future students is to not be afraid to try something new. Get out of your comfort zone you might find it sets you on a career path you will really enjoy.
