One of my greatest accomplishments during my internship at EMBARC was leading a staff meeting with the whole team. It was a neat experience!
It is important to educate yourself regarding the population you work with, serve them better, target their needs, and be effective in the programs and services you offer.
What advice would you give?
Really connect with the people you get to interact with during your internship. Those relationships help you experience other opportunities. Also, ask questions and ask to do things you're interested in doing, the worst thing they can tell you is that you are not allowed, but often they will do anything to enrich your experience in their organization.
