Responsibilities

Engage in one-on-one activities with youth (card games, coloring, painting nails). Make sure children stay safe. Help children with tasks and chores. Ensure youth are engaging in safe behaviors. Help redirect children and make sure they are on plan with their goals.

Accomplishments

I believe that my greatest accomplishment from my internship was the connections I made with the youth at OP campus.

Learning experience

The greatest lessons that I learned from my internship were how to set boundaries with the children and how to work through crisis' with them.

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students is to be brave! Take a chance on something that you are interested in even if you have never done it before. You never know if it could be the best thing to happen to you!
