Responsibilities

During my internship I have worked on creating lesson plans for the upcoming summer, developed reflections and recognitions for summer staff, created snack menus and order sheets, updated DHS requirements, recognitions for summer children, planned summer field trips, and learned a lot of behind the scenes for a site supervisor at a before and after school program.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment would be developing lesson plans or reflections and having the other site supervisors use them and tell me how great they are. Also, when they use things on their site and I get to hear their success stories. It really makes me fell like what I'm doing is worth it and making a difference.

What advice would you give?

Find something that will challenge you. Break away from your comfort zone. If you don't like working at a desk, don't do an internship that's sitting at a desk. This is could be you're only option to do something like this, so make it count.
