Responsibilities

During my internship, I worked under the company's Recruiter, Community Inclusion Coordinator, and Marketing Specialist. I balanced a multitude of responsibilities, ranging from recruitment at job fairs, online advertising and networking, graphic design, community inclusion scheduling, leading my own Bible study, supervising and coordinating volunteer opportunities, and assisting with running our Spring Gala to raise over $30,000 to go towards company services and future housing development. I communicated with local businesses, resources, and built connections throughout the community through this internship.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment during this internship was being so integrated in so many different veins of the organization. Overall, the biggest project was definitely the Spring Gala fundraising, planning, and organization.

Learning experience

I learned so much about myself in this internship, as well as learning how this great company operates and functions as a business. I learned about my own work ethic, opportunities, and passions. I found new layers to my passion for this field and feel very rooted and grounded at Friendship Ark.

What advice would you give?

Always dig deeper. Whether that be in your job, your classes, or any future opportunities. If you are going to commit to something, do it 100%. Every opportunity we have in college could lead to something incredible, and you only find out by giving it your all.
